Kicking off a new series, “A Look Back,” L’Oreal went backstage with Anthony Turner at Topshop Unique’s FW 2013 show on February 17, 2013. Turner describes the hairstyling as “cool, rock-and-roll” with “a little Kate Moss” thrown into the mix. Watch Turner in his element, working on the likes of fellow Brits, Cara Delevingne and Rosie Tapner.

Hairstylist Anthony Turner might best be known for his work on the international catwalks and in the world’s most prestigious fashion titles, but the creative reveals his talent for illustration for i-D magazine. Turner recalls drawing at a very young age, “[My grandmother] used to bring me paper and I’d sit for hours at her kitchen table drawing.” When asked why the images may sometimes be ‘dark’ he links it back to his childhood: “I can’t imagine any other time when I was more scared than when I was a child,” he continues, “My imagination used to terrify me… I’ve never really lost that side of me but obviously now I’m not scared, I enjoy it and channel it creatively.”
