Lachlan Bailey is an Australian photographer, currently based between Europe and the US. Influenced by the greats of cinematography, Lachlan has created a signature style of elevated reality that is both sophisticated and intimate.
His advertising clients include Calvin Klein, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Emporio Armani, Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo and Massimo Dutti, among others. Editorial collaborations include British Vogue, Vogue Paris, Vogue Australia, Holiday Magazine and WSJ.
Created over two years, IBIZA brings together more than 80 original photographs made across the island. The images exist somewhere between memory and reality, spontaneity and intention—a personal interpretation of a place filled with memories and a deep sense of nostalgia.
“The rewarding part of creating this book was photographing new people outside of the usual casting channels. Most of the time I had no assistants and had to remember how to load my old cameras. It took me back to the days before I had an army of help.”
