As Global Makeup Consultant for Carolina Herrera Beauty, Lauren spent three years developing the colours, textures and formulas for the brand’s highly anticipated debut make-up collection alongside beauty creative director Carolina A. Herrera Jr. and house creative director Wes Gordon.
The collection, which launched in February 2020 at the Carolina Herrera FW20 fashion show, currently consists of a versatile line of 71 shades of lip colours in 6 different formulas, 8 shades of multi use powders, a hybrid highlighter and a mattifier in a range of customisable, refillable packaging.
“From the start of our collaboration, there was the idea of what it was going to become. It was a celebration of all the types of beauty we love, whether that’s achieving dreamy, glowing skin or customising your perfect pop of colour; from its inception, we wanted to look at beauty in a fresh way to encompass all those things in a makeup line of modern, fresh textures and colours.
Putting personality and individuality first was very much at the heart of the creative process behind this collection. I think Carolina Herrera is synonymous with alegria and joie de vivre and I wanted to create something very in sync with the brand. Alongside this intrinsic positivity, I also wanted to create a true wearability that can span generations, by bringing modernity to the classics and allowing everyone, everywhere find something in the range that would suit them.”
